pioneer AO5 powercalibration error?

Have the above error comming up when I try to burn at 4x,
I can burn at 2x noprobs in Nero ver 5.10 etc, have tried two different m/boards still the same result. when trying to write at 4x it does not make a coaster. I have tried different bios and am now using ver 1.33 region free/fast rip

if anyone can help out with a solution for this, I would be greatful.

Have you tried different media? A power calibration error usually means the burner doesn't like the media, at least at that speed. However, if it has been working good at 4X with that media and it suddenly changes, it would point to problems with the burner.

I have not tried different media yet, that is my next step.
although the 4speed media I use writes ok at 2 speed no probs.
My burner has never written at 4 speed since I got it. I will be getting different media next time I order from Big pockets.
