  1. Dear All,

In resume, my system is a Pentium IV @ 1.8Ghz with 512Mb DDR and 2 HDD @ 120Gb.

My Video Card is a NVIDIA GeForce MX440 with driver version 4.4.0.3; The Sound Card is an Internal VIA AC'97 with driver version 6.14.1.3950; My DVD-RW is a PIONEER DVR105 with driver version 5.1.2535.0 and Firmware of 1.33 with Enable Digital CD audio checked in the proprieties.

I also have a Pinnacle Studio Deluxe (Analog and Firewire) internal PCI Board on this computer.

What appens, is that I CAN burn any DVD or CD with DATA, or MP3, or even sound/music, but when i burn a DVD with software like the Pinnacle Studio or Nero or Premiere or whatever, the DVD burns with no errors, but i get no SOUND on it. I can play any comercial DVD on that recorder or any Music CD and i can ear, but when i burn a DVD from internal files, i get no sound.

I look up the files structure of those experimental DVD's and i notice that the SOUND_TS is empty, but so they are in other DVD's.

    What's Wrong here?

Is the conection from the DVD to the SOUND Board?
Is a Software problem? (I dont think so, because it appens with all comon burn/edit DVD Software)...
Is a Hardware Failure (i think not, otherwise i couldnt burn any data/music CD'S as well.

Please Help me with this - ITS URGENT.
If you need any more details, just ask.

I would appreciate your help ASAP.

    Thanks for your support.

  4. Before you burn the vobs on to disc have you checked if there is sound on them. if so there has got to be a problem with your writer get in touch with pioneer.

if there is no sound on your vobs there has to be a problem with one of the software your using

  7. Well, i try to open the .vob files with powerdvd and windvd, and YES i have sound on them, while still in the HDD.

So, the problem, is when they go get burned to the DVD Writer.
What does this means? This Dvd Writer model, doesnt write audio on .vob files? There is an internal hardware problem on this model? Because i upgrade the firmware to 1.33, can anything went wrong? Chould i go to the store and ask them to change for a new one? Should i use any other software to burn? I try with Studio 8, Instant CD-DVD, Nero... and none of them work.

Help me please... i need to do some DVD's and very Urgent....

Thank you all for your support.

  8. Its got to be your writer & I'm using the same one (pioneer 105 with the firmware upgrade 1.33) & all my burnt dvd's have sound.

You need to take it back to the shop & get yourself a new one

  9. Well... strange, now the burned DVD's have sound in powerdvd and windvd but not in windows media player.

I think my previous error, was to open the burned dvd's in windows media player, but i only done that, because it was ususaly the program i used to see comercial dvd's, and all they have sound... so....

Is the windows media player not good to see dvd's ?

I just have to test it now, on normal dvd's.
I will post the results here Hope it works as well.

By the way, does standard dvd players or desktop dvd players accept dvd-rw as well as dvd-r ?

    Thanks again.

  10. I Hope it all works out for you...

I've had some problems with my windows media player & sound.

Not all Dvd players can play -r or -rw check on the DVD Players Compatibility on this site

  11. Great... i've try the recent burned dvd-r on several desktop dvd's and it works... that was a relief...

Windows Media Player sucks... but i still wonder, why i could see comercial dvd's using WMP, and not the dvd's i've made... strange... its the codecs for the sound different? Strange.

Thanks for the help to all of u guys (specially watty252).

    C u all around.
