  1. Trying to rip a DVD but just cant find the way to get the english subtitles.
    Anyone?

  2. Do you mean off the DVD or from somewhere on the internet,

    if you mean off the DVD, you need to rip the vod files, then use something like subripper(Not to be confused with smart ripper) which gets the subtitles from the vob files, then some thing like virtual dub to add them.

  3. You can do it using Smartripper, DVD2AVI, VirtualDub with the vobsub filter, and TMGenc. Here is a link that will show you all the steps:

    Maeztro, which tools do you use?
    In DVDx and FlasK you can select the subs directly.
    If you use dvd2avi, you can also frameserve with Avisynth/ vobsub. Let me know, if you prefer Avisynth.

  6. I would recommend FlaskMPEG v0.6 subtitled fixed version. It is foolproof and works very well for hard-encoded subtitles. You can download this from doom9's site: http://www.doom9.net

    Make sure to rip your DVDs in "File Mode" if you use FlaskMPEG.

    This method (and all the other ones mentioned in this thread) are also described in detail in the guides section of doom9's site.
