I picked up a external DVD burner a few months ago, a Cendyne CDICD 00237, and I was not having any problems burning until I reciently reformatted my HD. Now when ever I stick in a blank DVD+R, Windows explorer changes the drive from a DVD-RW drive to a CD-ROM and doesn't reconize the media. I have tried a few things, but I have run out of ideas. Any sugestions? Thanks.
Edit:
Thought I would post some specs. I'm runnign a Dell Inspiron 8500 with Win XP Prof SP1. If you need to know anything else just let me know
