  1. I did a search and could not find any information. I have Baby Einstein DVDs and would like to backup them. Some discs are less than 2GB. So I am thinking about merging them into one disc. I wonder if there is anyway to merge them while keep the menus? I mean to have a new menu which has 2 buttons, for example, link to manus of 2 DVDs. I know this requires re-auther it. But I really don't like to have 12 backup discs they will be scratched. Thanks.

oh, yes there is...do it all the time, and have replied to many posts regarding this in the past 2 weeks or so.
have to use another program. i use TMPGEnc DVD Author (some people prefer DVDLab). works great...create main menu to select the movie you wish to view. can also create chapters for each movie once you selected the movie. and TDA is very easy to use. 30-day trial available. go for it

  4. If you want to keep two original DVD menus, you can't do it with those programs. If you want to make your own menus, then yes, those programs work fine...

you could do it with those tools but it all depends on how complicated the menu's are on the original DVD's

Menuedit has some interesting new features that allow you to modify buttons and I'm pretty sure if you spent a while looking into then maybe it could be possible to do it

but in the end is it worth the time/effort/cost thats going to be involved in making it all work properly as it would be a high price to pay especially in time and effort. You have to know your stuff to probably manage something like this and even then it would depend on the complexity of the DVD structure and the menu commands contained within it

I guess I could do it with simple menu's if I really wanted to but I would just stick with making 12 backups unless you have no problems creating your own menu's using the above tools noki suggested

I may be wrong and there may be such an easy tool or method and I hope I am wrong as I would like to know if a tool exists as I'm pretty sure a few others would also like to know

would dvdauthor, mentioned in the programmers forum HERE be capable of doing this?

  6. I guess I was thinking big, complex motion menus for the most part, not the simple ones. All the relinking is the problem. I've never used that program mentioned in the post. Here are some of the posts that I have posted on the topic:

I know that both of these deal with the same movie (not separate ones like is being asked), but both have the ideas of two menus...
