    well, as the heading says...NEWBIE. so, with all the experience here ipose the oft asked question: what is the best blank dvd-r media?....cost is not a factor but a consideratioon....quality not quantity.

    1.) Taiyo Yuden
    2.) Maxell
    3.) Ritek G04

    That's pretty much it. Anything else and you are risking a bad batch or incompatability or edge-of-disc burn/read errors etc.
