I'm using Sefy's guide to encode a DVD to DIvX using Easy DIvX. The guide is pretty simple but I've tried this three times, on two different computers, using three different DVD's, and it always hangs on 'encoding audio'. I've attached a picture. Please help!

  3. Does it always hang in the same spot ? seems like it's freezing in the ripping section, you can always try ripping with another program and then use EasyDivX. or i've heard there is another alternative called Guardian Knot.

Actually one of the three times I tried encoded from VOB's already on my HD, but got the same results, what am I doing wrong?

You said its hanging at the ripping stage, isn't it already passed that in the third step, where its hanging?

I really liked your guide, I'd like to stick with it, but I can't understand why Im having this problem, with three different movies, on two different machines!

    Thanks for any help.

O, yes it is hanging in the same spot. This screen shot is from when I used VOB's on my HD, but I got the same results when I encoded from the actuall DVD.

  6. Mmmm... have you tried ripping the movie to your HDD first using something like Smart Ripper ? i've not encountered this problem, so it's difficult for me to assist, it could also be an encoding problem, but your screenshot suggests it's a problem with ripping
