Hi all,
I'm using a Belkin F5U508 firewire card to connect my ADVC-100 unit to my computer. Unfortunately, every time I start up my capture software and connect it to the ADVC (I also have an ASUS TV FM Card), it shows maybe 2-3 seconds of video and then reboots or locks up the computer.
I'm also having intermittant freezes of the computer in general but they don't seem to have any particular pattern. The only thing I can tell is that it all started happening after I put the F5U508 card in. I've updated my drivers from the web site with no change in results. My video card is an nVidia GeForce2 MX 32mb card with the most recent drivers available from nVidia.
Has anyone else out there had similar results with these products (specifically the F5U508) and fixed it? I used to trust and respect Belkin products but now I'm not so happy about them. I'd had to have to buy another IEEE 1394 card and ditch this one on eBay.
Thanks!
Dave
