    I use all of these (and then some) but I have never used VIDOMI ... in fact I'm not even sure what it is!

    Let's not forget AviSynth and BeSweet !!!

    for avi's i'd be lost without Virtual Dub
    for mpeg's TMPGenc and I use main concept
    but I have to agree with BJ_M with the camera as #1 and i'd say the video camera as #2

    Of this list probably TMPGenc, as it allows users to freely encode video CD's to a high and customisable standard at home without lots of extra technology. Virtual Dub is really only for short AVI's - for anything else get a proper editing programme, CCE is not a home tool, DVD2AVI is really just a frameserver and I've never heard of Vidomi.

  15. Well since many of you asked what Vidomi is it is an encoder, player, and frameserver all in one and its a pretty good tool if you know what you have to do with it.
