    I have my toshiba dvd player, 16X in my pc and it seems locked in region 4, I tried genie and others programs to change region but itīs locked. I dont know if it is a hardware of software problem....
    please help,

    Have you already changed the region code for other dvds you have played? How many times?

    A lot of players let you change a maximum of 5 times before needing to be returned to manufacturer for resetting.

    This could be a possibility.[]

    I haven't done this enough to be permanent yet myself, but my friend did, and all he needed to do was un- and re-install the software.
