That is the first season front and back cover but you will have to make a custom spine for it.
Thanks again to Roundabout for showing me that site. -
Hopefully they don't notice a huge increase in site traffic from people getting covers off their site
But I guess they can get away with having those on their site because they are a legit seller of DVD's and maybe they didn't think about people using the cover art for other purposes...in any case, I guess it'll be useful for a while. He HeEthernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
thanks guys. Any help on where I can find a tutorial or something on making custom spines And covers?

Ask Pacmania_2001 how he did it, he made a great cover out of the images he got from that same website - look at this thread... https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=187118
Maybe he can give you some pointers, I think he used Photoshop and cut and pasted the title from the front cover and put it on the spine.Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
What I did was measure the front and back covers from a proper DVD insert (sorry I didn't keep the measurements). I then enlarged the downloaded photos (from that site) so that they fit those measurements.
I then created a paintshop (any picture program should do) image that was the same size as the measurements of the DVD insert as a whole (front, back and spine).
I then copied and pasted the enlarged downloaded images into that blank image making sure the back was on the left and the front image was on the right. Also making sure they were up against the borders of the blank image.
Then in the middle of that image you should now have the perfect sized spine in which you can add whatever graphics/text/logo's etc you want. For mine I put the movies title, a small picture of the cast and the DVD logo on it.
After that all you do is print the image and it should come out the right size. If it doesn't I would load it into a cover printing program like CoverXP and then print from there.
Remember also to take into account the extra width if the DVD case you are using is a double or triple case as the spine will be wider. -
thanks for the tips pacmania. One quick question though. What program did u use to enlarge the images? And how dod u get the title on the spine to be the same font and everything as the cover?

I used Photoshop (under Images -> Image Size) to enlarge the initial images but any graphics application will do.
To get the font the same was a bit tricky. Firstly I looked around for like the soundtrack to see if I could cut and paste it from that but that was a no go. I looked around then for any graphics from the movie (using a google image search) which had that style font but again that was fruitless because the movie was a small release that didnt get that much attention.
Finally what I ended up doing was playing the DVD on my computer in WinDVD and using the screenshot utility to grab the title from the trailers that was part of the extras. From there I pasted it into photoshop where I used the eye dropper tool to get one of the bluey colours from the front cover and then used the paint bucket tool to colour the captured title so it matched my original spine.
Then I rotated it 90 degrees so it was on its side and reduced it to fit.
