    I use VDub 1.5.8. How come the mp3 rate is so low? I want at least 128 Kb.

    I had the same problem when I did a fresh install of my operating system, but after I finished installing the codecs it was solved, the codecs I installed were the Kazaa lite codec pack, and the latest DivX codecs, not sure which of those included the MP3 codecs though

    Problem solved. i went to the Tools section and dwonloaded the LAME mp3 codec.
