I'm looking on the back of the box for the DVR-A04.
What does that mean exactly. What media can I burn on? What will be able to read what I burn? Thanks.Originally Posted by Pioneer

It just means you need to use general use DVD-R 4.7 GB discs, not mastering discs. I have used Maxell ,TDK, Ritek all with no problems.
General use discs are the discs you see in Best Buy , on the net, etc. -
It also means, for whatever it's worth, that the A04 can read DVD-R(a) (Authoring) media after such discs have been burned in a DVD-R(a) burner such as the DVR-S210.
