Can't get programs to recognize DVC 150

Saw this in a thread from last month....

My Dazzle Capture card uses software called Moviestar. Which I must say is not so great. The Dazzle drivers only allow you to use Moviestar, for example Adobe Premier cannot control the capture card nor any other 3rd party s/w..

So THAT'S the problem...I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why EVERY program I've tried to use for capturing analog vid won't recognize my Dazzle DVC 150. The only one that will is MovieStar 5 - the one that came with the DVC 150.

Anyone know of a solution for this (other than a new capture device...not in the budget)? MovieStar's not a great program. It works ok if I'm willing to capture everything in AVI...but doesn't do well at all capturing MPEG-2 (all kinds of sync problems crop up in editing).

The DVC 150 will ONLY work with Moviestar5 and the DVXcel test program. But, if you go to pinnacles website there is an option for DVC 150 users to upgrade to Studio8 for $40. You will get new drivers. Once the new drivers are installed, you can only use Studio8, moviestar5 and the test utility will not work. The upgrade is totally worth it. I had problems left and right until I upgraded. Now, the DVC 150 I think is a VERY good capture device. I have yet to lose a frame. Once you capture it, you can use any other program to do what you want but studio8 is pretty good, especially for the newbie. If you get the upgrade, download the the patch to take studio8 to 8.10.

hello everybody, i have the solution.
after to try and try i found it.
the problem is that the drivers dvc 150 in to the original pack (with the box) they arent correct and the pinnacle studio quickstart dont work with dvc 150.
the solution is download this driver

in actually, im using this drivers with pinnacle studio 9
work in pinnacle studio quickstar, 8,9 !! perfect capture!! drops frames 0
