  1. I have been creating DVD's for some time now, I encode a AVI to DVD using TMPGEnc, I always make sure that the file is in sync before authoring it using Ulead DVD Workshop. Once I have authored it into a DVD including menu's and stuff I then burn it onto a DVD-R named 'White Label' I purchased these DVD's from www.savastore.co.uk using my Sony DW-U10A.
Once the DVD has been burned problems start to arise. About 3/4 of the way through the film the audio begins to go out of sync. Also if i fast forward or rewind the film it also goes out of sync. On most of the DVD's I have around 12 chapters on each DVD but when i select these and the movie continues to play everything once again goes out of sync.
I was wondering if anyone else had these problems or if anyone knows what to do to stop this. I have tried the DVD's on a number of my DVD player as well as my home computer.
    Thanks to anyone who answers

  2. I had this problem many times before. Around 3/4 of the way through the movie it would go totally out of sync. The solution I use is to demux the video with Virtualdub and create a WAV file for the audio. You MUST make sure that under the audio settings you have selected Full Processing mode, otherwise you'll just get the same problem. If you have selected Full Processing mode you should get a WAV file around 1GB or more for a 1 to 1.5 hour movie. Then use TmpGEnc to create a DVD compliant mpeg file, use the original video file with the the newly created WAV file. This works EVERY time for me, even for converting DivX to DVD. Hope this helps.

  3. Thanks alot for your reply, I have figured out my problem. It is Ulead DVD Workshop causing me the problems. I found this out because I sent the file over to my bro's pc and authored it on there using Ulead DVD Workshop. For some reason this worked so i created a image file & and sent it over to my pc & thern burnt it onto a DVD. There is no problem with this so I guess I will have to keep doing it this way. I will reinstall Ulead DVD Workshop and see if it contiues to work propley again. If it doesn't i guess I will have to reformate!

Thanks again for your help Squirell.

  4. If you haven't already done so, I would suggest that you download and apply the update patches that are available for Ulead DVD Workshop.

You can download the latest updates from the Web page at the following link:

    Hope this helps,
