  1. if I buy a Region 2 DVD from Europe that is in NTSC, I should be able to view it on my Mac, and convert it using DVD Backup and DTOX to watch on my TV, correct? I know there are too many hassles converting from PAL....

region 2 is europe and japan. but japan is ntsc and europe is pal. but sometimes there are a reg. 2 europe ntsc, but not very common. but yes, if it's reg.2 ntsc you can rip it and take the region coding off and then reburn.

are good places to check to see what regions have what movies and if they are pal.ntsc and what region. so maybe somewhere will have it ntsc so you don't need to convert al to ntsc. cause that sucks and it'd be way easier to just but a dvd player that will play pal dvd's on an ntsc tv and play all regions.

nerd-out.com is a good source for players that will do this if interested.
