    hi guys,

    i want to convert a mpeg file(be it mpeg1 or mpeg2) to an avi with ac3 sound. how do i do that?
    i have this software called ffmpeggui, which gives me an ac3 sound file out of an mpeg file(like it converts it to ac3).
    so i was wondering if i cld possibily convert the mpeg file to avi(divx) with ac3 sound.

    please guide me step by step or link me to a guide which tells me how to do that excatly.

    excatly which software can do wat i want?
    i knw how to encode mpeg to avi.
    but i want ac3 sound and not MP3 sound when i have got the final avi file.

    EDIT: i use VD and dr.divx for encoding.
