  1. alright, i have an mpg i can't burn as an svcd because it's not svcd compliant.

    but when i check the mpg's stats with avicodec, it shows: "Video : 0.0 b, 2520 Kbps, 29.970 fps, res. 480*480 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported"

i tried de-multiplexing then multiplexing the file with tmpgenc, but nero still says i can't burn it as an svcd.

nero (version 6) says to re-encode the svcd because it's not the same stream. nero suggests to use its software to re-encode, but i don't have the plug-in/add-on. and i don't wanna pay for it.

is there a program that's free (or at least it offers a free trial) where i can re-encode the mpeg so nero can burn it as an svcd?

It appears to be SVCD compliant, try burning with another program like VCDEasy, or turn off the compliance checks in Nero. Sorry, I don't use Nero or I'd help with that. Anyone else?
