  1. Hello.

I have a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro All-in-Wonder. I´m trying to capture some VHS. But it only works 1 time out of 10. I have tested composite, S-Video, and Analoge antenna. I have tested the TV player in the Multimedia Center and Studio 8. It dosen't matter which way I go, if one of them dosen't work, none will work.

I capture one VHS yesterday and when I tired the same VHS today it dosen't work.

Well it would help if you gave us more information.

    Such as ...

When you say "doesn't work" that is very general.

So please be more specific as to exactly what goes wrong when it "doesn't work".

    P.S.
In this case you might want to throw in ...

Read the instruction manual and/or user guide PROVIDED with your ATI equipment.

My guess is this is a simple hook-up problem or user error in software settings etc.

  5. Yes, I have read the guide given to me with the card. I have also sent mail to ATI about this. The problem with this is that they are only "valid" if it dosen't work at all! And since my problem is that caputuring dosen't work from time to time they gave me nothing.

When I wrote "doesn't work" I meant that the clock indicating captured time dosen't start.

    Example:
When pressing the "Start Recording" in Multimedia Center TV function, a record bar shows up showing the name of the file and recorded time (and frames dropped). When capturing dosen't work, recorded times stays at 0:00:00 and the file is only a few kb. The behavior is similar in Studio 8.

    8.6
    "Reboot lately?"
Every time I found out that the capturing process fails. After a few reboot and capture test, This will happend: a) capture works or b)I give up and doing something else.
    "Tried rebooting before capture?"
