I've a digital camcorder that records movies in interlace mode (I think most of them use

    this mode nowdays)

TO play those movies on my standalone DVD player I create MPEGS that are also interlace.
As You know those MPEGS won't look good enough when running on my PC because of interlace

mode, ie 25 frames per second + "mice teeth" effect makes the animation not fluent.
    My question is:
is there any software MPEG player/codec that uses "progresive scan" deinterlace method "on

    the fly" ?
Progresive scan method separates two fields of each frame into two frames and hence produces

    movie with full 50fps.
I know that I could just deinterlace using "progresive scan" method using the virtualdub but

it wouldn't be on the fly and in that way I would have to keep two versions of movies:
interlaced: for my standalone DVD player
"progresive scan" deinterlaced for my PC.

I don't want to have two versions, I just want to have one, interlaced.

    Is it possible.

    Greetings

    Maciej

    ps:
I'm using Englard MPEG codec, which uses "motion blur" decinterlace method but as You know

this method still leaves the bieng played movie with 25 frames per second.

Try WinDVD player. It will play interlaced video without the "combing effect".
    Hello.
