  1. Here's the thing. I laughed my but off when my friend tolde me that the Finding NEmo DVD he was playing for his neice, after being placed into pause, created a shrunkdown version of that screen and it bounces around. The thing is that eventually the image changed to two nude women with strap ons. Now my question is since when do DVD's go into a screensaver mode? IS it a function of the actual DVD writing into a temporary memory? Or is it a functiopn of he DVD player retaining stills from previously viewed DVD's?

If for no other reason, this may be a great reason to buy the Nemo DVD. LOL. My friend is worried because earlier in the day he was scanning a porno DVD in the player but he doesn't recall seeing two blondes with a strap on. Unfortunately he did not tell me the model of the set top player. My friend went so far as to notify Disney and NBC News. LOL.
Correct me if I am wrong but DVD players do not have any user memory that can be written to right? IF they do then I suppose its possible some sneaky guy tried out a DVD player at Best buy and had a little fun.

  2. I seriously doubt that has anything to do with the DVD. Your friend notifying NBC and DISNEY is a joke..really.

Sounds like "your friend" is a freak. Most standalones have set picture when you pause your disk. When I had my Sony standalone..I had the option to take still pics from movies I watched and have them replace the standard, default picture.

That's obviously what your friend did..either by purpose..or by mistake.

  3. Holy crap now thats a fast response. I'll foward your info to him. He actually call NBC himself. He said they wondered if it was the DVD player that was responsible. His sister is the one who actuyally called Disney and Blockbuster. This is just too damn funny!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Well, at least it wasn't reported to ABC (owned by Disney).

One clear giveaway is "screensaver." Screensavers are manufacturer-implemented and are defined by no spec whatsover that could be embedded in a disc as set-top playable DVD-Video. A xxx-oriented jacket picture or flashframe, maybe even a stray VTS with adult content would be more plausible - knowing Disney, they have THOROUGHLY checked the disc.

Unless I'm checkin out a virtual sex dvd, I never bother hitting any buttons besides next, rewinding and fast fwding when I'm checkin out a porno disc

Does he have a multi-disc changer? If so, that might account for Jacket Picture cycling.
