I have a Radeon 9700 Pro with the latest ATI Drivers and I have used it for
several month to send my movies stored on PC to my Thomson TV.
This has worked like a charm with exellent picture quality.
I am sending out a 800x600, 50Hz, PAL Signal.
Now I bought a Panasonic DMR-100H DVD Recorder and I tried to connect to the DVD Player instead (RCA to AV3 or AV4 ).
(PC > DVD > TV)
But now I get a much worsen picture on my TV with lots of interference.
I have tried all possible graphic settings that I can think of.
I also tried to connect my other PC with a nvidia card to
the DVD player and that worked with exellent quality as well so I guess my 9700 card is doing something strange with the signal.
I tried using NTSC from the PC and changed my DVD and TV to use NTSC and that worked with good quality.but I can¨t do that every time I want to watch a movie.
Any suggestions ? What is my 9700 doing that my dvd player does not like ?
/P
