  1. I need some help with the Adaptec AVC-2310 USB DEVICE

    1. I have managed to but a film from video tape onto my pc the sound and picture are great cant complain. I play it on the PC all ok... I burn the film to DVD with EASY CD / DVD 6 using DVD BUILDER. The picture and sound are in sync with the lips etc yet there is a loud hiss on the DVD playback on PC and lounge DVD player which is a SONY player. So why would the film be ok live (played on pc without been burned to dvd yet hiss once on dvd)?

    2. So I then tried using Nerovision Express 2 for the same film even did chapters etc , took 3 hours to incode etc yet the hiss had gone , picture great yet the sound kept on popping and the lips were out of sync....

I have tried everything I can think of slowing down the burn speed , closed all programs down in background ..

    I have the following programs

    1. NERO 6 with NEROVISION EXPRESS 2 and the latest updates

    2. EASY CD / DVD 6

    3. I have MY DVD came with the USB device

So any ideas on why the picture + sound are fine played right from the hard drive only be a great help...

    I have a

    P4 2.4Mhz
    512 DDR RAM (PC2700)
    80GIG Hard drive (7200 rpm)
Sound Blaster Audigy with front panel

  2. I am only guessing since you don't mention how you capture your video and audio. Audio can be captured in many formats ( Dolby Digital, PCM, mpeg1-layer2, etc. ). Is it possible you captured in one format and in burning it has been transcoded to another?

You mention you have MyDvd. What version? Burning with MyDvd normally creates a DVD compliant disk with PCM audio. If it is version 5.0 Deluxe it can create a compliant disk with PCM or Dolby Digital but it will transcode audio in any other format to one of these before burning.
