    Currently:

    P4 3.2 ghz
    512mb ddr (400mhz fsb)
    40gb 7200 internal, 250gb WD SE 8mb cache external (usb 2.0)
    XP SP1

    I would like to set this PC up for video capture. I'd like an external card, I've heard Adaptec is good? I just need a few recommendations on the capture device, and the capture software (prolly capture to AVI). thanks

    check to the left, under Capture Cards - plenty of information, ratings and comments from users of tons of different cards.

    fully searchable by brand, model number, capture format, etc.
