  1. I purchased 150 Beall inkjet printable about a month ago from meritline.com and I received the ones that everybody seems to be talking about with the full face printing area (20 mm inside diameter). I just received another 150 today from meritline.com and they have about a 40 mm inside diameter. The surface seems to be a little different also...in color at least anyway. I thought meritline must have made a mistake because it didn't come on spindles like it usually does, it was just wrapped in plastic. I checked the media tag and sure enough, it's says it's "Beall G00001". Has BeAll changed its ink-jet printable DVD-R's? I'm including a scan of the both the old (bottom) and new (top).

  2. Have you questioned Meritline about it? This would be a big bummer for me.

  3. I just did a quick check of their site and the description said:

White InkJet Printable - Larger Printable area! There is NO stack ring on this disc and you can print on the surface of this DVD media all the way toward the center hub.

I don't know if you purchased the 1x or 4x but they all said something similar. If it were me I'd be giving them a call.

  4. Wow, that would suck if they changed. I absolutely love the BeAll's for their large printable area AND smooth surface. Good thing I just received 500 of them last week and they were the old ones. But hopefully it was just a mistake or temporary issue of sorts.

  5. Apparantly, it was Meritline's mistake. But they won't have the full face BeAlls in stock for another month.

  6. If I'm reading Meritline's response correctly, it sounds as though it's only with the 1x. So the 4x "should" be ok.
