World Series, or just another commercial opportunity?

I have been watching the World Series and I must say, I want to puke!!!!! I am almost 50 years old. I was a 4 letter High School player and very proud of my accomplishments. I also played 4 years of collage football to obtain my education. I am so thankful for the opportunity given me and felt it was the best experience of my life.
I am sickened by these hacks announcing the games, and the fact we have allow this to happen. The whole, Verizon, Bell Atlantic, MasterCard, 10-10 321, Taco Bell, Mc Donald’s, K Mart, Target. Costco, bah, blah, blah, etc, etc, FOX shit makes me totally sick. How do you feel about this? The part that really pissis me off is the announcers, they are the biggest hack sluts I have ever heard or seen in my life. I know a buck is a buck but I CALL FOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: This may be just the norm. I do not watch TV so they may all be just hack sluts and this has become the way it is???? It makes me sick and how do these announcers sleep at night whoring themselves for a buck???

yeah, it is pretty shitty. but when you get down to it, the people running the game are there for business purposes.. and the purpose of running a business is to make money.

i too get tired of watching the same commercial over and over and over.. only to have them rejoin the game with the pitcher in mid windup or the catcher throwing the ball back to the pitcher..

and yeah, these announcers are definetly the cream of the crap..

i really enjoyed al leiter during the alcs.. i love how he was always pissing off lyons..

there was one game where kerry wood made a bad pitch and the commentaters were like "he shouldnt have thrown that pitch inside, he should have thrown it outside, that was just a bad pitch" and al lieter was like "he just missed. he's been out on the mound throwing a bunch of pitches, he's lost his command. he's doing the best he can. you cant always control the ball, sometimes you just miss".. even though it sounds so simple, it totally blew them out of the water..

the texas rangers have a really good commentator.. tom grieve, i think he's one of the best in the business.. he's got stuck with suckup josh lewein, you might have seen him during the championship series (and maybe the world series)..

but to get back to the point, yes, the coverage of this world series is shitty for the most part.. i have enjoyed the ultra slowmo replays though.. (i also like the dead center cam espn played with a long while back)

Thats the way the television industry has been going for a while. If you're watching a 30 minute show, at least 15 minutes of it will be commercials. I know what you mean....I'm a baseball fan too and I think the only way to enjoy the game is if you mute it. What pisses me off even more are the numerous amount of endorsements. Has anyone seen the Champion commercial where they say "when did the word renogtiate move from the business page, to the sports page"...so true. I realize I'm going all over the place with this but there's so much to talk about when it comes to advertising(I did my midterm paper on it and just got it back this morning...easy A).
