  1. I am having problems trying to burn a dvd file with Pinnacle Instacopy version 7.0.3. After I have decrypted the CD I go to the compression set up and adjust it just like I always have before. Setting menus and items to max compression but leaving the main feature to min compression to save the video quality.

But on this one particular dvd after I set these attributes and make sure the file size is under 4.31 gig, it goes through the testing of size and comes back with an error saying the file size is too big like 4.51gig or higher. Even if I set the file compression to automatic it still comes back with a file size too big.

Can anyone tell me a way around this or tell me if I am doing something wrong?? I have backed up 10's of DVDs and this is the first time I have had this problem of not being able to fit the DVD on to a blank medium.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Good ole DVD9's :P

I suspect even with maximum compression it won't fit. Probably 7-8 GB os stuff on the original? Sounds like you need to drop the extras and go with main movie and 1 audio track.

  3. do I just uncheck some of the smaller tacks or is there another way of doing this? Never done it before and don't want to delete a menu or something important. Thanks!!
