Few days ago I bought this USB2 external capture device with hardware mpeg2 encoder. Files captured with original Yuan software (DVD Encoder and app. driver - Phyton2 USB WDM) are good and 100% DVD compatible. Picture filters work ok (noise filter should be a bit stronger) and sound seems ok.
Problem is that there are no other software compatible with this card. I tried Ulead, MC, Cyberlink, Intervideo software with capture option but no chance to activate capturing. Messages are following: failed to build graph, no recognised device, another application is used device etc.
Yuan application DVD encoder doesn't have preview window and it is a little bit tricky to work without it.
Does anybody has Yuan DVD2GO MPB680 and similar expirience ? Is it possible to use device driver from similar hardware to provide better compatibility (i.e. WIN-TV PVR USB2) ?
I'm interested in analogue capture only, tuner has second priority.

if it says another application is using the device, you may have to close all other applications before trying other capture software.
how's the picture quality of video captured using mpeg2 codec?
