  1. is there any way to frameserve with vegas video ? or any AVI plugin that i can use to frameserve my video.

i need a least an ordinary way to frameserve my projects.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

Mainconcept MPEG encoders are very slow , and the quality is not to good.

    I prefer TMPGenc or CCE.

all i want is to prevent the step to have to render all the project in AVI format and then recompress to MPEG.

I don't have to much disk space.

  3. I hear that Vegas Bideo 4.0 + cannot frameserve. I have Vegas Video 3.0 C and I haven't figured out how to frameserve to TMPGEnc. I've done a forum search but gotten no answers. Can anyone help?

vegas (any version) can frame serve out just fine..

just install the free frame serve plug in http://www.debugmode.com/pluginpac/frameserver.php

the built in main concept (and stand alone) encoder is one of the fastest mpeg encoders around -- as fast as cce if not faster .. and excellent quality .. tmpgenc will take about 4 times the time for example on a 2.8p4 system

you prob. do not have your settings correct or don't understand the program ..

  6. I have played around with the MainConcept encoder, though i will admit it is fast, I prefer to use tnpgenc to encode b/c there are a lot more filters/settings one can play with as opposed to w/ the Mainconceept encoder (which makes video really blurry anyway, and I have done everything to try tweaking the settings). I installed the VideoServer and I had success frameserving to the free version of TMPGenc, but I can't get it to work in TMPGenc Plus, even after downloading the latest version. It says file not supported and gives me a popup error window, but just loads fine in TMPGenc free. I have found a way to cirvumvent this, by frameserving from Vegas > VirtualDub > Tmpgenc Plus... but I fear that could cause stability and efficiency problems. any advice from anyone how to to a straight frameserve from Vegas Video 3.0 C to the latest Version of TMPGenc Plus (or older versions... I'm willing to downgrade one or two versions if need be)

    lot more filters/settings
than built into vegas ? i think not ...

anyway .... just match the vfapi settings in the two versions you have (make the one that doesnt work match the tmpgenc version that works)
