  1. Hi, I've just started backing up DVD to SVCD useing Davideo2 to rip the DVD (ifo and vob files) and encode it (mpeg file) then Nero to burn it. Works OK ( I couldn't get Davideo2 to do the job on it's own, the svcd's just didn't play in my DVD) but I end up with two (usually) very large mpeg files. I have looked all over this site and in the software help pages but I can't find what I'm looking for. I want to end up with chapters like the original DVD so I can skip through the movie. At the moment each cdr has one big file that can only be fast forwarded through. Should I do something at the rip/encoding stage or can the mpeg file be manipulated/burnt in sections ??? I'm not a tech head and will learn in time but I'm sure this is probably simple to sort if you know how.

P.S. One or two of the cdr's have a slight sound/picture glitch every 3-4 seconds. I have re-encoded changing the compression and it sometimes sorts it out. Any ideas ???
