LVD-2001 stopped playing mpg

It was playing mpeg2 files burned onto a CD-R or a DVD-R with firmware version 02.27 and I upgraded to 02.29 and now suddenly stopped playng the CD/DVDs with mpg files. I flashed 0227 back and still no luck.

The player recognizes the ISO disk and is stuck at "Loading <filename>" where filename is the name of the file on the disk. Its the same exact disk it was able to play before. The player works fine with all other disks [DVD, Mpeg4/DivX/XviD, Mp3 etc]

Any ideas?

No idea... I flashed to 2.29 and everything works fine. In fact, it fixed a couple of problematic discs for me.
