  1. Okay, I have numerous avi files that I want to convert to MPEG for DVD or VCD/SVCD burning, but apparently ffmpegX will kill my machine for 30+ hours, get to 90% done, and then fail. Frankly, I'm getting tired of it, after carefully following all the instructions in the online guides, it still crashes, and the only help I've gotten is to convert my movies to .mov format BEFOREHAND. Only problem is, DIVX Doctor doesn't always work smoothly, sometimes it causes big sync issues, however, I don't have the HD space or the time to convert a movie before I convert a movie!!!
These movies play perfectly in VLC (and before someone says "what's the problem then?", I want to burn them to DVD!!!) so I know they're ok, but apparently NONE of them will convert using ffmpegX???? One or two having errors, sure, but every single freaking one of them? Sad part is, ffmpegX USED to work fine, but that was 138 versions ago, and 673 downloads back of the binaries! There is no way to recreate the old setup I had. If anyone has any useful info, I'd sure appreciate it or any other apps that will convert my avi's instead of ffmpegX.
Once again, it SHOULD be a great app someday, but only if it works the way it's supposed to, the second it does that, I'll happily pay whatever shareware fee they ask, but only if it works

  2. Check tomorrow for version 0.0.9. All your issues will probably disappear.
