Well, this has got me puzzled, not that I am by any means an expert at this, but I usually just use dvd decrypter and then dvd2one where needed, hastily followed by nero to put the darn files onto dvd via my nec 1100a (4x.. usually) But.... now we have a "Houston" style problem... Whilst using decrypter on a copy of a film I had just received, an error message popped up..(Failed to Patch File) "Invalid IFO/BUP" ( .ioFTPD was the culprit) And that was that.. no way was it going to burn. If that wasn't enough, I tried to Decrypt another film, only to get the same message... VTS_04_0.BUP 64k value, was the culprit on this occasion. Any ideas or explinations (spelling?) please.
P.S. I have since tried to burn it via nero with the image method, this worked.. but was somewhat long-winded.
P.P.S. This is the first problem I have had using my aforementioned method.

scratched dvd or dirty lens?

Normally I use DVD Decrypter:
1) Choose "Mode | ISO - Read" and rip ISO img file to HD
2) Choose "Mode | ISO - Write" select image and burn to DVDR
It's faster to rip the DVD to the HD, then copy the VIDEO_TS folder. As for on the fly copies... it's doable (many people do it) but it takes 3-5min to rip an un-encrypted disc. It much safer to go DVD -> HD -> DVDR, IMHO. -
No need to do an on-the-fly copy. Just do "copy disk", yeah you just go to the menu and pick "copy disk". You can turn off "on the fly" if you want to copy to the HDD first. *shrug*
