  1. hello.
    Im making a dvd with music videos that I got from my tv capture card.
    I encode them to svcd with a bitare of 2500 and they look just fine.
    my question is wich bitare should I use on the encoding to dvd ??
    I want to fit as much as I can on a dvdr, but I dont know wich is the dvd bitare .

  2. Consult the birate viewer found on this site, it will calculate the bitrate you want.

  3. filesize = bitrate x runtime

    No matter what your final format is. 5000kbit/s x 10s = 50,000kbit/s.

    The size of the source, resolution, mpeg1 vs mpeg2, etc. etc. have no affect on file size (thou they can affect quaility). But as the previous poster said, the bitrate calculators under the tools section will tell you what to use.
