I'm ready to make the jump to buy the panasonic e80 - but was wondering what kind of dvd-rs to pick up.
I've searched the media forum and heard everything from ritek to memorex and compusa - but none referred specifically to the E-80 standalone.
Many thanks!

Has several discussions on E80 media.
I have used BeAll, Fujifilm and TDK. I've had best success with the TDK (in spindles or jewel cases). I've had minor problems with the BeAlls (they don't like to finalize if they are full), and Taiwan-made Fujifilm from spindles (they cause a recover error about 10% of the time, but even so, they do work if you just re-burn). Fujis in jewel cases (which are made in Japan) work great, but they cost a little more.
Other brands people seem to like are the Lead Data. Riteks are controversial; some people love them and some have had lots of problems, which may depend on the dealer and the grade being sold.
