    Hi All,

A couple of weeks ago I bought the new HP CD writer cd12 series. One of the main reasons for buying this was so that I could burn VCD's. However for some reason I cannot burn them properly. They play in Windows just fine but as soon as I play them on my Pioneer DV-343, all I get is a blue screen with the words "Play" in the top left hand corner. I know that this DVD can play vcd's because I've burned a vcd at work and played it on our dvd at home.

I've tried Easy CD Creator, which wouldn't recognise the burner on the first install of the software but would after an update, and Nero which won't recognise the burner at all.

Since this burner is very new off HP's production line, could this be the reason? Should I wait until the software catches up or should I take it back and exchange it for something else? Hope someone can help, thanks.
