Hi y'all!
I've searched the forums but couldn't find an answer to this problem. I'm sure I can't be the only person completely p***ed off at the trailers 20th Century Fox put on their DVD's, so you wwon't just be helping me but the silent majority as well. Does anyone know a way (perhaps with IFOEDIT?) that these can be removed so that the main menu screen appears when you insert a disk instead of having to press the menu button to get to it? Not only would this be far nicer, but it would also mean a space saving of up to 400mb a disk! I normally like to split to 2 DVDr's to maintain original quality.
Would any of you like to look good by sharing you wealth of experience and knowledge??
While I'm on the subject, POWERDVD is far to clever for its own good and happily plays ripped DVDs that would cause a set top player to continually search for missing .VOBs. Does anyone know of a player that emulates the way a set-top DVD player would react to save burning coasters.
Cheers!!![]()

cause ifoedit can make ur files menu-less if you
really wanted too... -
Hi!
Thanks for taking the time to reply!
I will check DVDXCOPY out in the forums and see if this little beauty can come up with the goods. Thanks for the suggestion
Personally, I do like the interactive menu side of DVD, it's on of the things that distinguish it from its impoverished VHS cousin, so I admit I'd rather put up with the trailers than do without the menus. Sorry
Anyone got any goods on a dvd software player that can better emulate the results that you would get on a standalone player if you burnt a disk?
Cheers again guys! -

If it's in a menu, do a "delete playback" on it in IfoEdit and then strip that menu's VOB ID in Menu Extras. Remember to save.
If it's a single PGC Title Titleset, you can use this guide to help you out. -
Once again I am indebted to the good folks at DVDRhelp!!
Thanks for all your assistance with this. I am off to put all this great advice to good use.
Take care one and all!! -

Yes the previews make me angry, yes the multi level, multi level menus do the same.
And yes there are pictures on the web page.Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
