    Hi

while trying to convert an Xvid movie to VCD it comes out very jerky, i go through Vdub with extracted wav audio etc the usual, been doin it along time and never had this problem.

the only thing i can think of is that the movie is probably ripped from an Australian DVD, Vdub says its 25 fps, and im using the PAL template in TMPEnc, ive tried in desperation using the NTSC, NTSC FILM temps, 3:2 pulldown etc just to see if anything would make a difference,

nothing unusual about the AVI file, looks good when played back, no errors,

    608x256, Xvid MPEG 4, 690 kbps
    2 channel stereo, 216 kbps

    anyone any ideas??

    thanks

    Hi,

no i dont know what u mean, the source, is 25fps, which is PAL, so im using the PAL template, or do u mean there is another template i should be using? eg is there one specifically for an Australian source

    thanks

its not ac3 sound, just normal mp3, which i extract with vdub, full processing mode as a wav file.

im sure australia is 25 fps aswell, but the only reason i think it may be australian is because the movie is ned kelly, which is only out on dvd in australia. i thought this may be a reason for it not working but i really have no idea what to try next
