ok, i've been burning a few dvd+rs.. and have found that after 30-60min. it goes from looking/playing perfect, to massive frame loss, and horribly skippy video/audio.
what gives??
im using "smart buy" dvd+r's. so i wouldn't be suprised if that's the problem. nec dvd+r burner, and roxio dvd builder.
my source video looks fine, and has no problems playing.
what could be the problem?

Could be a few possibilities. Most likely media, but you don't provide any details of how you made the DVD, so it is all guesswork. :c)
Keep an eye on this thread: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=671091#671091
- basically the same problem you are experiencing.
My only contribution there was a recommendation to invest in high quality RW disc(s) for testing. There's no place like 127.0.0.1
The Rogue Pixel: Pixels are like elephants. Every once in a while one of them will go nuts.
