Would just like to say that I finally bought a DVD burner.
Bought the Pioneer DVR-106.

Shop4Tech had the burner bundled with 25 DVD-Rs plus Nero Express 6 for $189.00 and FREE shipping.

It did take 9 days for UPS ground to ship it from CA to FL but I didn't care. I felt that was a good price.

As far as burning goes, I captured some sports video from my Canon Hi-8 camera using my ATI-AIW 128 Pro with VideoStudio 7.
I captured 352 x 480 uncompressed avi, and encoded that to 352 x 480 MPEG-2, 6000 kbps and burned the DVD with VideoStudio and it played flawlessly on my Pioneer DV-343 player.

I know some people have posted bad experiences from Shop4Tech but for me they have never messed up an order and I'm very satisfied with them.

I dealt with them twice, and had good experiences with them both times. I think it is interesting that it takes UPS nine to get your package to California, while the USPS took only three days to get Shop4Tech's packages to me in Italy

Your Italy package was most likely Priority or something?
USPS is normally slower than UPS! At least here in the USA.
I mail alot of small packages to france, italy, england, and such, USPS normally takes from 3 days to a week or more. Course I think CA. is closer to Italy than I am

I live in the Central USA and UPS or Fedex Ground gets to me within 3 days normally, a couples time I think it was even faster!
Most my orders are from CA for computer parts and media, but other items come from everywhere!
I get alot from OH by USPS, that takes longer than any UPS from the same place.

9 Days is slow! CA to me is 3 days, FL to me is 3 days. So if you shipped your order to me, I take a day to reship it to you, you could have had it in 7 DAYS total at most

And 3 days includes weekends if UPS has the package on friday! I have actually ordered on a friday and got it Monday, cheap ground shipping!
Same with neweggs fedex super saver shipping! Free and 3 days normally. It is nice to live in the middle sometimes

I used to buy alot from tcwo.com and it was shipped from FL. UPS.

I have ordered from shop4tech twice, I think about 3 days till delivery so far. Course they might have been busy and not shipped same day for you, or maybe the UPS truck wrecked and slowed the shipping.

So how is the burner working out? I am thinking of the same one soon. Though I will probably buy oem for less, I don't need the software. Though the deal with the disks I might look into!
