Hi everyone,
What can be done so that an AVI captured file form DV camcorder is converted to mpeg2 but with commercial DVD quality? I am looking for a random access archive solution for all my videos - lots and lots of DV tapes is not good and at some point I want to start writing over the old tapes. So far I haven't been able to find solution comparable in quality to playing those DV tapes directly?
All ideas will be appreciated!

yes, using CCE or tmpeg and making XSVCD, minidvd or dvd (on dvdr), you can get quality similar to the original dv tape (or any commercial dvd)
check the guides for making dvd/svcd -
you said that you wanted to convert your DV to commercial quality DVD. Just remember that your quality is only as good as your original.
