I'm pretty new to the video editing/authoring/encoding scene (getting close to a year now) and I always come here when I get stuck on something. I almost always find the answer to my problem just by searching these forums. Nothing I've had trouble with that hasn't really been covered, and most times many times over. Many dedicated hobbyists (and a few pros from the sound of it) posting/helping here regularly have made quick work of most of my problems. I've been reading here for close to six months now and I would also like to commend the most excellent job of moderating on this site, keeping the flames to a minimum and the riff-raff out for the most part.
This is a really nice site. I don't know who's dime it is, but I hope it never goes away!
Thanks to everybody for all the help.

The Rogue Pixel: Pixels are like elephants. Every once in a while one of them will go nuts. -
