  1. I must be the only one in the world not getting this right. I have a dual processor 733mhz pentium III PC. I have Nero burning and a Yamaha CRWIII burner.
I created an .avi file that I want to turn into a VCD. I converted it to .mpg with TMPeng then burned - my computer cannot read the files on the CD. It simply has 5 folders (CDI, EXT, MPEGAV, SEGMENT and VCD) and my computer cannot read any of the files enclosed within them.
Then I burned the .avi directly w/Nero, which did the encoding and came up with them same 5 unreadable folders. I've burned through quite a few disks. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I even tried including a player(QT) in the directory b4 burning. PLEASE HELP!!!

Have you tried playing it in a standalone dvd player ?
the vcd file(s) is in the MPGAV folder, the extension will be .dat.
Media player should be able to play this .dat file (but sometime it can't) but I've never failed playing the .dat file with Xing mpeg player
