NEED A COMPATIBLE CD-R(W) FOR A SONY DVP S530D

I have a few VCD's that I borrowed from a friend but they won't play on my DVD player b/c they are Memorex CD-R's, therefore, NOT compatible. If any one knows what brand of CD-R(W)'s that a Sony DVP-S530D will play, please let me know! I can be reached toll free at 1-800-806-0130 (ask for Justin).

Memorex CD-RW's work with my Sony player (not same model as yours).

Brand CR-RWs (Sony, HP, TDK) works great with this model.

Yeah, great player, nice image and sound... while it lasts!
Mine is dead due to a defective project that burns the optical unit.

Lucky that it happens while in warranty period...

Thanks for the info. My Optical Pick Up has already been replaced under warranty like you said. I did finaly talk to a Sony customer rep. and I was told that the Sony DVP S530D does not play CD-R(W) VCD's. It will only play Pre-recorded VCD's. I wonder if the XBOX form Microsoft will play them, HMMM

I've used Traxdata and Viking CD-R(W)s and Vivistar CD-Rs with my Sony.
