    I was lookin around the forum and i dont see much about the burner i have...i havent seen 1 person that said they own it...does it suck or sumtin??? and y do most ppl choose DVD- over DVD+...the price??

    I initially bought the 200I many months ago. Then I have bought nothing but dual format writers and burn with - media mostly these days. The HP doesn't get the call up to do any work these days but if I need it on the go, it's now in an external firewire/usb enclosure. Hey, if the 300I works for you then great.

    I have two burners and the HP 300i is one of them. I've had it for about three months now and the only coasters I've made were from human error. I use nero as my burning software and tdk or memorex discs. Compatibility is never a problem in any of my three dvd players.
