I am trying to convert an xvid film into vcd, first i split the film using vdub and it split ok, then i followed all the instructions on this site and when i went to encode it it comes up with the error code:- Error write occured at address 77f536f7 in module 'ntdll.dll' refferancing address 00000000. i hope someone can tell me what i am doing wrong or and what the code means.

I would have to assume you are encoding with Tmpgenc. Are you doing anything else with the computer at the same time? The encoder requires most of your system resources. If so shut down everything else and just let it encode. (kinda boring to watch, I know) Also, a good defrag of your HD works wonders.

    1) Reboot
    2) Uninstall TMPG
    3) Reboot
    4) Delete the legacy TMPG folder
    5) Re-Install TMPG
    6) Re-Boot
    7) Encode

    Works every time, so far.
