    I just bought liteon lvd-2001 and now I can see new product at liteon website!!!!!

  3. The only difference i can see is the design and the 2002 seems not to be able to read smartmedia cards, cf cards or so. so it seems to have less features. is it cheaper for that reason ?

    if you can read french, it means that the 2002 is a kind of 2001 lite without pcmcia.

    So if you need the PCMCIA slot, be glad that you gut the 2001. if not - dont worry. i dont think the price will be very much lower. by owning the 2001 NOW you dont have to wait for the 2002 to come.

  5. The LVD-2002 is a downgraded version of the LVD-2001 which comes in a different design, colors and without the PCMCIA card reader.

    If DivX, then I prefer the Odyssey 4000 with the 5.1 out etc.
