  1. I live in Calgary, Canada.
I am going later today to buy a DVD burner.
Both are $239 and dual format.
    Which do you reccommend.

    The Pioneer 106?
    or the Sony Dwu10?

Which is most reliable?. Media Friendly? DVD player friendly?

    Thoughts? would be GREAT!!!
    THANKS

I'd wait for the LiteON 411 due to be released shortly.

You can't beat LiteON for firmware updates

Frequent firmware updates are not a good thing
Buy both and send me the one you don't like

    get the pioneer

  4. "DVD Player friendly" comes down to the media and your authoring - and only to a very small degree the burner, in how good the write strategy for your chosen media is.

Unless of course you buy a -R burner and find your DVD player only likes +R, but it usually goes the other way around if a player will play recordables but is arsey about book types.
