    I recently purchased a nec 1300a and it came with recordnow dx version 4.18. I tried to backup my dvd disc using -r media. The software came up with and error saying this is copyrighted material. Is there a way to get it to copy or should i try another kind of burning software.

    You have to use a program to decrypt the DVD, DVD Decrypter does the job for this. You can even use that for burning too, just use ISO Mode Read, then ISO Mode Write, if it is a DVD-5, that is.
