I want to backup my DVDs and I am not interested in menus, subtitles, surround audio.. etc. I jsut want to burn backups where when I put them in a DVD player they play the main movie.. that's all. Or at most give me one menu button that says play. LOL
I have no need for tips converting DVD9 to 5 or anything.. but what software would be good for this that I can use a regular audio.ts and video.ts off my hard drive and jsut burn it?
I tried Nero.. it gives an error saying something like "write error at 1x"
and it fails.
I'm also worried I have a bad burner or crappy DVD-RWs. I bought legacy RWs with the drive.
Any tips?

Ok mate...One of the easiest ways to backup DVD's without the menus ect ect is to :-
Use DVD Decrypter to rip the movie to your HD
Use DVD2One to shrink the files small enough to fit a dvdr
Then there are a few progs to burn but i like Gear Pro DVD
Rip = 30/40 mins
DVD2One = 40/50 mins
Burning about 30/40 mins
All depends on ya comp..But it is a quick easy way to backup dvds..
If ya need further help just look on the GUIDE's on this site or just ask
